Essay 1: Wyatt Earp: Lawman or Outlaw This paper addresses the life of Wyatt Earp and his impact on the Wild West. Topics include the capture of Ben Thompson, Dogdge City, Tombstone, and pimping. The question is raised about whether Wyatt is known as a lawman simply because that is what the media wants us to think. Essay 2: Women are More Than Just a Pretty Face When most people think of the Wild West, they think of Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp, Butch Cassidy. They think of the lawmen and they think of the outlaws. They don't think about the women of the West because they think the women were behind the scenes working in the homes, the brothels, and the saloons. This paper shows that women played an important part in the Wild West history. The lifes of several women are explored including, but not limited to, Annie Oakley, Belle Starr, and Mary Fields Essay 3: Young Guns: Guns Blazing The movie Young Guns portrays a short period of Billy the Kid's life. It shows how Billy was fearless and a rebel, how he wouldn't back down from anyone. The movie also portrays the times and how the times were ruthless. Topics of the paper detail how the movie depicts that crime was the way of life. A La Carte: Martian Invasion: Are You Prepared? This essay doesn't fit in with the theme of the class (Wild West). It was done as an extra project / assignment where I got to pick the topic and format of the project. I chose to write about why people should be required to by martian invasion insurance. I feel that after reading my paper, you will agree too. *The essay is completely made up in case you are wondering* |
